1. What are the goals and objectives of Future Footprints Family Centre?
Our Centre aims to provide high-quality early childhood education based on the New Brunswick Curriculum Framework for Early Learning and Child Care. We focus on your child’s well-being, play, communication, literacy, diversity, and social responsibility. We encourage self-esteem, self-regulation, independence, and positive social interactions.
2. What is the procedure for delivering childcare services?
We provide developmentally appropriate, child-led activities in a safe and stimulating environment. Our afterschool program includes playtime, homework assistance, and seasonal outdoor activities, ensuring a balanced mix of quiet and active play areas.
3. What is Future Footprints Family Centre Inclusivity Policy?

4. What are the admission and fee details for daycare?
Reduced Fees: $16/day or $80/week when enrolled through the government portal.
Regular Fees for 2-5 Year Olds: $137.27/week (full-time) and $29.53/day (part-time).

5.What are the admission and fee details for afterschool/before school programs?
Full-time Fees: $85/week.
Part-time Fees: $22/day.
Before School Only: $10/morning part-time or $40/week full-time.
There are no additional charges for professional development days or storm days.
6.What are the admission and fee details for preschool?
Reduced Fees: $7.00/morning when enrolled through the government portal.
Regular Fees for 4-Year-Olds: $37.90 for 2 mornings/week or $75.80 for 4 mornings/week.
Preschool sessions run from mid-September to the end of May.
7. What subsidy programs are available?
Daycare Subsidy: Available for families with a net income between $37,501 and $80,000.

8.Who are the staff members?
Our staff includes highly capable professionals in the field of childcare, all of whom follow guidelines set by the province. They undergo ongoing professional development and mandatory certifications.
9. What are the hours of operation?
We are open from 6:45 am to 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday, except for statutory holidays and a two-week summer closure for maintenance.
10. What holidays are observed?
We observe all statutory holidays, including New Year’s Day, Family Day, Good Friday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, New Brunswick Day, Labour Day, Truth & Reconciliation Day, Thanksgiving, Remembrance Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and Boxing Day.
11. What is the attendance and enrollment policy?
Parents are required to notify the Centre of any absences. Two weeks' written notice is required for withdrawal or changes in attendance. Regular fees apply if notice is not given.
12. What is the policy on snacks and meals?
Parents must provide snacks and meals, following Canada’s Food Guide. The Centre also offers cafeteria services through Andover Elementary School.
13. How does the Centre handle child guidance?
We use positive discipline techniques to encourage acceptable behavior, focusing on respect, kindness, and understanding. Recurring issues of inappropriate behavior will be addressed in meetings with parents.
14. What should be done if a child is ill?
Children who are ill should remain at home. The Centre has protocols for managing illness and preventing the spread of infectious diseases. Parents should notify the Centre of any absences due to illness.
15. What is the policy on abuse and neglect?
We have mandatory reporting of suspected child abuse to the Department of Social Development. Future Footprints Family Centre has zero tolerance for abuse and harassment.
16. How is medication administered?
Medication is administered following strict guidelines with proper documentation and parental consent. Medication must be in its original container.
17. What is the emergency procedure?
Regular fire drills are conducted, and the Centre has an emergency evacuation plan. In the event of an evacuation, staff and children will go to Calvary Tabernacle Pentecostal Church.
18. What are the transportation and outing policies?
Parents are responsible for transportation. Written permission is required for outings, and volunteers must have proper liability insurance.
19. What should children bring for personal belongings?
Children should bring spare clothing and appropriate footwear. All items should be labeled. Slippers and flip-flops are not suitable indoor footwear.
20. How does the Centre involve students and volunteers?
The Centre may provide observation opportunities for students and volunteers, who will not be left alone with children.
21. How can parents provide feedback?
Parents can discuss any concerns with staff or the Director/Coordinator. We are committed to addressing any issues to ensure the welfare of your child.
22. What is the policy on photographs?
Photos are taken for learning stories, posters, and presentations with parental consent. Photos may also be used on our Facebook page with signed consent.
23. How is the Centre governed?
The Centre is governed by a non-profit Board of Directors, including parents of Future Footprints children. Parents interested in joining the Board can contact the Director/Coordinator.
24. How can parents get involved?
Parental involvement is encouraged through volunteering and providing input on the program. Speak to the Director/Coordinator for more information.
